“Creative, charismatic, and serious” are the words that Rapper ADC uses to describe himself.
Tell us about yourself? Who is Rapper ADC?
I am a simple guy with a lot of creativity in life, with goals to meet, and plans to grow as a human and as an artist.
What is your favorite food and why?
Beef broth and pozole are my mere mole. This liking comes from when I was little. My grandmother, who is now resting in peace, prepared it as I like it. It was because of her that my love for these types of foods began.
What is your favorite animal and why?
The lion is definitely my favorite animal. Among what he represents to me, he is a symbol of bravery.
Apart from music, what other hobbies do you have?
Music has been an integral part of my life, but as a good Mexican, I love to play soccer. I also enjoy riding my bike around the city.
How long have you been making music? What made you start?
I started with music about a decade ago. In my teens, I realized that I was looking to fill a void created due to my bad decisions. Between problems and vices, music became my cure to express how I felt in a more creative, entertaining way and giving me another perspective on life.
What are your biggest musical influences?
Kase O, Residente, Urbano Vargas, Horus,The Notorious B.I.G, 2PADC, Nas y Onix among others.
What’s your music-making process? What sparks your creativity?
It’s pretty straightforward. All music starts from silence, and what’s better than a quiet night to isolate me from all distractions and start from scratch.
What have you been listening to recently?
Respuesta: True to my influences, I have never stopped listening to the double H, but Jazz and Reggae have started to creep into my daily playlists.
Talk to us about your latest album release “Un Mundo Nuevo”.
This is an album that promises a change of mind by carrying a positive message. I intend to answer negative and pessimistic people with my music — those who spend their time complaining about everything but not changing their way of being.
Are you currently working on new music?
That is always a yes. Freestyle is my passion, and a new song that comes out from improvisation is never missing.
What are your goals as a musician? What are you striving to achieve?
Simple. Be better day by day. Never stagnate.
